A Web content management system (CMS), is as a Web application, for creating and managing HTML content on a website. A CMS facilitates content creation, content control, editing, and essential Web maintenance functions. It is often hosted with the website on the same domain and accessed using a username and password. Colloquially referred to as the back-end, it allows people without HTML knowledge to manage content.
